This campaign respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. Specifically:

• Contact form (“Let’s Talk”): your name, street address, email address, and your message.
  Support pledge form (“I’m with Anna!”): your name, street address, email address, and any message you include. Submitting this form tells us you support Anna’s campaign.
• Donations: donations are processed by Stripe on Stripe’s own secure platform. We do not see or store your credit card details. We do receive the contributor information required to comply with Ontario’s election contribution rules.

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect information about you in the background beyond what’s described in the Cookies section below.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

• respond to your questions and messages;
• coordinate campaign activity such as volunteering, lawn-sign requests, and campaign updates;
• record and report contributions as required under Ontario’s Municipal Elections Act, 1996.

We use your information only for the campaign. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Sensitive information

Telling us you support a candidate reveals a political opinion, which we treat as sensitive. Access to this information is limited to the campaign team, and it is used solely to run the campaign.

Cookies and tracking

This website currently uses only the basic, strictly necessary cookies that keep a WordPress/Elementor site working. We do not currently run advertising cookies or website analytics.

If we add analytics or other tracking in the future, we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent before any non-essential tracking begins.

Third-party services

Stripe processes donations. When you make a donation you are taken to Stripe’s own hosted page, and your payment is handled under Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
Some technical resources, such as web fonts, may be served through third-party providers, which means those providers may receive your IP address as part of loading the page.

How we store your information

Form submissions are held securely and are accessible only to authorized members of the campaign team.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as needed for campaign purposes, and for contributions, as long as required by applicable election law. After that it is deleted.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you’ve given us — except where we’re required to keep contribution records under election law. To make a request, or to ask anything about your privacy, contact us at anna4council [at] gmail.com

We may update this page from time to time as we add or remove features. The “last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
